The elephant on the block show strength and a micro meter precision. Better Building Blocks inspiration started in the late 80s when a well known friend Lenard Miller a.k.a ‘Bungo’ was leaving to the U.S and gave a friend (the founder of Better Building Blocks ) Herman Alvin Danvers a 6” block hand mould. He then left to the U.K shortly after Danvers returned to the island in 1994. While driving one day with a friend, John Thompson Junior, though of building a house   for John came up and the hand mould was mentioned. Putting the ideas to the contractor who discouraged us from the hand moulds but told us about vibration local made machine. Mr. Miller came back in the picture he too had just bought some old vibration machine from Hand Rocks, an old man we knew well around Spanish Town. Danvers was referred to a friend at the time who could build the machine. He had gotten some old iron from a friend Donald Hoo and Dally Bacchus. The Business started up in 1994 that hand mould for Miller still haven’t build a block up to this day, it can be seen any day at Better Building Blocks Museum.
