A Day family fun day, to race funs to finish our play field, This function will be held on Easter Monday April 13 on our Groft  Sile a Bamboo Corner. Starting at 10:00 AM

There will be a lot of actions Bounce-bout, Ferries Wheel, Go- Cart, Bull Ride and a host of other activities for Adult and Children.

Admission Adult $200 and Children $80

 

 

Glengoffe CDC

Current Spending Plan

 Digicel Best Community Award 

bullet$1.7 million will be used to purchase land in Glengoffe for the future Art and Craft Development Centre. A down payment of $500,000 will go towards securing the land so preparatory work can begin. The down payment will be made before the 28th of June. Volunteer land clearing is scheduled from June 20th to June 30th. Following the initial work, $200,000 will be used to prepare the sports field, which is expected to be in use by the end of July.

SDC Parish Prize

bullet$60,000 has been set aside to buy tools and materials for beautification projects: $50,000 for a weed whacker and $10,000 for a wheelbarrow and other tools.
 
bullet$20,000 will be used to establish a website for the Glengoffe CDC. $10,000 has been set aside to beautify the police station by bushing land and planting trees and flowers. This project began on June 9th and will be ongoing. The next work day has been set for the 17th of June.

$40,000 has been set aside to beautify Glengoffe High School by establishing green areas and tidying up the grounds. This has already begun and will extend throughout the summer. The school will submit a project document to the CDC defining how the funds will be used.
 
bullet$20,000 will be used to beautify the post office. This will include planting trees and flowers and repainting the building. Work will begin in August and run through September.
 
bullet$40,000 will go towards developing agricultural projects at Glengoffe High School. These projects will include a contour farming demonstration site, an herbal garden, and a vegetable plantation all on school grounds which will be tied into the school’s agricultural courses. $10,000 will also go towards a project utilizing old tires to prevent gully erosion. These projects are ongoing and expected to last into November.
 
bulletFinally, $50,000 will be set aside to beautify Glengoffe Square and other community green spaces. This is an ongoing project with workdays set by the CDC every week.

Note: Funds are under the direct supervision of the Glengoffe CDC. Any use of CDC funding must be approved by the CDC Steering Committee and registered with the Treasurer. The CDC must record and be able to account for any use of CDC money. This information is always available to any community member who wishes to review it.
