Pipe Welding,
has
done contract work for the bauxite industry as well as copper- and stainless
steel- TIG welding work for
local sugar factories and distillery plants. Beside that, HEART Trust/NTA in
collaboration with Aluminum Partners of Jamaica, ALPART, required Mr.
Williams’s service for welder-training, fulltime from 08/2000 to 08/2003.
These trainees (more than 150 in 3 years) are now certified to AWS- Standard
(American Welding Society) and ASME, Section IX (American Society of
Mechanical Engineers), certified by an independent AWS welding inspector.
HEART
Trust/NTA required his training services again to train the trainers of that
agency and also trainees to Level III of their NVQ-J-Program, for the
expansion of the Jamalco Bauxite Plant.
He has
set seven (7) standards in welding for Jamaica, certified by the Jamaican
